Soft-focus is probably the most famous type of filter effect in
real-life. It's applications range as wide as landscape to portrait
photography.
It has been used to create smoke, fog or haze effects, romantic
touches to portraits or product photography or to smoothen skin
texture in model photography.
A soft-focus effect scatters incoming light, resulting in slight
blurring.
This control determines how much the soft-focus effect is applied in general. A higher strength scatters light more
Sets the gradient mode used for this effect. See below for details.
The gradient bar shows a horizontal representation of the
gradient used for this effect. It works similar to gradient tools
in graphics applications.
In the middle is the bar and at the bottom are "points". Working with the soft-focus gradient bar is
similar to the one used in the Color effect (just the
transparency part is used here).
There are a number of modes which determine the "shape" of the gradient.
